Owls Nest Solutions Pty Ltd helps Western Australian small businesses meet SMB1001, and installs the licensed physical security systems that sit alongside it. We are certified to SMB1001:2026 through CyberCert, and a founding mission supporter of Dynamic Standards International, the body behind the standard. Based in Joondalup, working across the Perth metropolitan area.
Our story
Owls Nest Solutions Pty Ltd is a Western Australian security and compliance company, working with small businesses, government and residential clients across Perth. The business is led by Steven Usher, who brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in IT networking and cyber security together with licensed expertise across physical security: locks, alarms, CCTV, access control and structured cabling. As security systems become network-connected and cloud-managed, that combination means every job is delivered correctly segmented, secured and remotely manageable, not just cabled and mounted.
The same accountability runs through the compliance work. We tell you what is missing, we implement it, and we leave you with evidence you can put in front of a client, an insurer or an assessor.

What we offer
Two things, from one provider.
Compliance. SMB1001 gap assessments against the tier you are aiming for, then the controls behind it: backup and recovery, security awareness training, access control, and governance and data protection. We get businesses ready for certification. We do not issue it.
